Issue Position

Our great country is being lead down a dangerous path. President Obama's "Culture of Cover-ups" must be stopped. From Benghazi, the IRS, Fast and Furious, the VA and even the Fort Hood shooting, this President and those working for him continue to lie and cover-up their mistakes.

I have stood up against the Culture of Cover-ups by the Obama Administration and vow to continue my stand against Obama's deceitful reign.

* I co-sponsored the STOP Targeting of Political Beliefs by the IRS Act as well as several other bills that would put an end to the targeted abuse of conservative groups by the IRS.
* I secured an FBI investigation into the Temple VA Hospital in July 2014 after discovering the hospital was falsifying records.
* I co-sponsored a resolution that established a select committee to investigate the Embassy attack in Libya.
* I have consistently introduced bills advocating for the victims of the 2009 Fort Hood shooting, most recently including language in the National Defense Authorization Act of 2014.
* As Chairman of the Department of Homeland Security Subcommittee on Appropriations, I personally included language in the DHS Appropriations Bill placing transparency measures on the DHS handling of ammo.
* Through several bills that I have co-sponsored, I have repeatedly called for U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder's immediate resignation and that he be found in contempt of Congress.
* I will not apologize for continually voting to delay, defund, and dismantle Obamacare. I have voted for the Keep Your Health Plan Act, which enables patients to keep their existing health plans and physicians for an additional year.
The American people not only deserve the truth, we demand it. I promise to continue my fight against this President, his Administration and the democrat Senate, who think they are above the law.
