Maryland Democrats Reach Over 65,000 Voters in Day of Action

Maryland Democrats conducted a Day of Action in jurisdictions across the state Saturday, with 516 volunteers knocking on 4,117 doors and calling 62,384 voters to inform Marylanders about the crucial choice between Anthony Brown and Larry Hogan this fall. The event continued the strong grassroots momentum built by Maryland Democrats over the summer.

Brown and Ken Ulman launched canvasses in Baltimore, Baltimore County, and Howard County, with volunteers heading out to spread their message of support for working families through expanding Pre-K to every Maryland child. Earlier Saturday, Brown and Ulman marched and chatted with voters at the Reisterstown Festival Parade.

"I thank each and every Marylander who has joined us in the Brown-Ulman Brigade as we work together to build a better Maryland," said Lt. Governor Anthony G. Brown. "Throughout this election, Ken Ulman and I have been determined to build the strongest grassroots campaign Maryland has ever seen, and it's this support that is key as we work to achieve our priorities of strengthening working families, expanding Pre-K to every Maryland child, and improving our business climate so our economy can continue to grow."

"Our volunteers are out across the state every day informing Marylanders about the crucial choice this election between Anthony Brown, who will stand up for working families by expanding Pre-K to every Maryland child, and Larry Hogan, who thinks we should give big corporations a massive $300 million tax giveaway instead," said County Executive Ken Ulman. "As the results of our Day of Action show, it's clear that Marylanders want a candidate who'll fight for middle class values, and not a Republican looking out for big corporations and millionaires first."
