As a longtime gun-owner, I support the right of all law-abiding citizens to exercise their constitutional right to own firearms and use firearms for lawful purposes. I am an active member of various hunting clubs, endorsed by the NRA, and have been trained in using firearms safely.
We must remain vigilant to ensure that government agencies, both state and federal, do not overstep the bounds set forth by the Constitution. When someone uses a firearm to commit a crime, the best response is to prosecute the individual responsible for breaking the law instead of the fundamental right itself.c
