Orlando Politics - Webster Kicks Off 10th Congressional District Reelection Campaign

This afternoon, in front of a legion of supporters and standing on the tail-gate of his Ford pick-up, Congressman Daniel Webster officially kicked off his reelection campaign to serve the people of the 10th Congressional District for another term.

After a morning of canvassing neighborhoods in the district, volunteers met for a rally and BBQ at Newton Park, located in Webster's hometown of Winter Garden.

"Four years ago, I went to Washington because the status quo is unacceptable. Step by step, we are making a difference. I will continue to support a balanced budget, responsible spending, and an efficient and effective government for America's future." he told supporters and continued "I am humbled by your overwhelming show of support. Many of you have invested yourselves in our past efforts. I thank you for your help and ask you to do it again."

Webster's opponent in the November general election will be Michael McKenna who won his Democratic primary last week.
