No Strategy = No Leadership

Former Arkansas House Majority Leader and Fourth District Congressional Candidate Bruce Westerman (R-Hot Springs) today released the following statement regarding President Obama's confession that "we don't have a strategy yet," to deal with Islamic State militants:

"The rise of ISIS did not occur over the weekend. In fact, the President called them a 'jayvee team' back in January. Well, Mr. President, the 'jayvee' has a full-blown army that has taken territory, captured cities, buried women and children alive, killed Christians, and gruesomely beheaded Americans. By admitting America has no strategy regarding one of the most dangerous terrorist organizations in the world, President Obama has made our nation weaker in the face of our enemies."

"The lack of a strategy to deal with ISIS is due to a lack of leadership from the President. I urge him develop a strategy post haste that protects America, its citizens and interests, and those of its allies in the region."
