Griffin Contacts VA Regarding Bureaucratic Oversight to Fix Problem for Arkansas Veterans

Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) issued the following statement regarding a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) bureaucratic oversight that resulted in more than 12,000 veterans being shorted their disability payments:

"This morning, my office was contacted by Arkansas veterans whose disability checks were shorted. We reached out to the VA, and after investigation, the VA informed us of a "programming error" and is now working to reissue payments to veterans by next week. I am closely monitoring this situation and will continue working to ensure Arkansas veterans receive the disability payments they earned.
