Capito and Sen. Barrasso Talk HealthCare on West Virginia Works Tour

West Virginia U.S. Senate Candidate Shelley Moore Capito and U.S. Senator John Barrasso, M.D. (R-WY) today toured the Mon General Hospital in Morgantown and met with medical professionals to discuss the need to fix what is broken with ObamaCare. Senator Barrasso spent 24 years as an orthopedic surgeon and is known for his health messages.

"As a former practicing physician, I know first-hand the health care problems facing our nation. President Obama and Harry Reid forced a bad health care law upon us and Americans are paying for it, both in costs and loss of quality care. The senate needs change. We need a better health system and senators who understand the real healthcare needs of Americans. Shelley Moore Capito understands the flaws in President Obama's health plan. She knows the changes needed and will fight to make sure Americans get the quality health care they deserve. The Senate needs new voices and strong leadership. This event is the latest stop on Capito's West Virginia Works Tour. Yesterday, Capito rolled out her West Virginia Works Plan, which outlines her vision for putting the state on a path toward more jobs and a stronger future.

"It is an honor to have Senator Barrasso in West Virginia to see the great things happening at Mon General and to join in a discussion about fixing what is broken with ObamaCare. We must start over and work toward healthcare reform that works, while keeping certain aspects that we all agree on, like making sure insurance companies cannot deny coverage for people with pre-existing conditions," said Capito.
