Kaptur Announces FAA Grant for Put-In-Bay Airport

Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) today announced a Federal Aviation Administration award of $548,734 to the Put-in-Bay Port Authority for taxiway work at the airport.

The project will fund construction of 1,670 feet of partial parallel taxiway to provide access to the hangars and reconstruction of 2,550 feet of pavement on Taxiway A that has reached the end of its useful life.

"Transportation is crucial to the economy of the islands," said Congresswoman Kaptur.

"Certainly the airport is vital during the winter months but also opens the door for tourists to a wonderful experience."
