Bosch Thermotechnology awarded two grants Tuesday for $4,866 and $15,134, respectively, to the Londonderry and Manchester School Districts.

The money was part of the company's mission to help strengthen and foster Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, or STEM, education in the classroom.

U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., was on hand for the ceremony at the Bosch plant on Wentworth Avenue.

Bosch Thermotechnology is a leading source of high-quality cooling and heating systems. Ayotte toured the complex during her visit.

The financial awards come from the Bosch Community Fund, providing support to communities for education and nonprofit work.

"Bosch is committed to technological advancement in service to mankind and the environment," said Richard Soper, president of Bosch Thermotechnology North America. "These two grants provided by the Bosch Community Fund will assist Manchester West High School and Londonderry High School to further their progress on STEM subject areas."

Roper said awarding the money to support school programs is what the company strives for through its work with energy efficiency and producing products to enhance quality of life through environmentally safe measures.

"STEM fits perfectly well with our organization," Roper said.
