The Mike Bost for Congress campaign issued following release today after Republican Candidate Mike Bost received the endorsement of the Illinois Chamber PAC:
"Today, I'm thrilled to receive the endorsement of the Illinois Chamber PAC and to stand with them in support of commonsense policies that will spur job creation and economic growth," said Mike Bost. "The Illinois Chamber is a widely respected and nonpartisan organization with an agenda that I know will help families across Southern Illinois and the Metro East. Unfortunately, my opponent has opposed similar policies during his time in Washington, putting him squarely against the interests of hardworking Illinoisans."
"Mike Bost has distinguished himself as a hardworking servant for the people of Southern Illinois," said Todd Maisch, Illinois Chamber of Commerce President & CEO. "In Springfield, Mike Bost has consistently fought for commonsense reforms to make Illinois businesses more competitive -- particularly badly needed changes to our state's flawed worker's compensation programs."
"As the largest broad based business association in Springfield, the Illinois Chamber is proud to stand with Mike Bost, the pro-jobs candidate in this race," said Maisch.
"It's a pleasure to have Mike Bost and Todd Maisch here at Werts Welding today," said Dwight Werts, President and Chief Executive Officer of Werts Welding and Tank Service. "As a small businessman who has signed both sides of a paycheck, I trust that Mike Bost will always do what's best for hardworking small business owners and families, and will work to improve the economy of Wood River and Southern Illinois."
"I'm honored to count small business owners like Dwight Werts among my supporters; businesses like Werts Welding are the engines of small town economies across Southern Illinois," added Bost.
