Keating Announces Health and Human Services Grant for Harbor Health Services, Inc

Today, Rep. Bill Keating announced a total of $250,000 in Department of Health and Human Services funding for Harbor Health Services, Inc., a nonprofit community health care agency serving a variety of underserved communities throughout Massachusetts. Harbor Health Services Inc. operates several health care centers on Cape Cod and recently opened an additional center in Plymouth. This money will allow Harbor Health Services to expand its existing Behavioral Health services.

"It is always important to recognize and support organizations, such as Harbor Health, that are committed to improving the lives of those within our community," said Rep. Keating. "Residents of the South Shore are faced with a shortage of affordable behavioral health options, which contributes to problems such as the substance abuse epidemic in the Commonwealth. This funding will allow Harbor Health to develop partnerships to provide more options for those in need of mental health and substance abuse treatment."

Driscoll, President and CEO of Harbor Health Services. "These services are an integral part of providing primary care services. We also greatly appreciate Congressman Keating's ongoing support of our services to the people of Plymouth and the Cape."

Congressman Keating and CEO Driscoll are scheduled to celebrate the opening of Harbor Community Health Center-Plymouth as well as the new location of the Hyannis Community Health Center next week as part of National Community Health Center Week.
