Elise Stefanik's Statement on the 49th Anniversary of Medicare and Medicaid

Press Release

Today, on the 49th Anniversary of Medicare and Medicaid, Congressional Candidate Elise Stefanik released the following statement:

"These programs are promises made to seniors and low-income Americans who have earned these benefits," said Elise Stefanik. "I am committed to fighting for our seniors and low-income Americans to protect the services they have earned. We need real healthcare reform that doesn't strip benefits, reduce options and raise prices but rather protects the benefits they were promised."

Doing nothing only makes the problem greater as we all know Medicare becomes insolvent in 15 years. Democrats offer no solutions and Obamacare has hurt Americans. Obamacare will result in massive cuts to Medicare Advantage and in the 21st District alone cuts of over 12 percent per senior are predicted by 2015 (American Action Network Study, 2014). Voters deserve to know whether Aaron Woolf would have voted for Obamacare.
