Cassidy Looks to Prevent Healthcare Plan Cancellations, Insurance Company Bailouts

Today, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health held a hearing on bills introduced by Congressman Bill Cassidy (R-LA). The Employee Health Care Protection Act, H.R. 3522, would allow health insurance plans currently available in the group market to continue to be offered, allowing Americans to keep the plans they currently have and like.

In addition, the Taxpayer Bailout Protection Act., H.R. 4406, and Protecting Americans from Illegal Bailouts Act of 2014, H.R. 5175, was introduced alongside Rep. Leonard Lance (R-NJ) to protect taxpayer dollars and stop unlawful payments to insurance companies through Obamacare's risk corridor program.
