Press Release

Date: July 30, 2014
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX-32), Chairman of the House Rules Committee, today released the following statement regarding House passage of the Conference Report to Accompany H.R. 3230, the Veterans' Access to Care through Choice, Accountability, and Transparency Act of 2014:

As we continue to uncover the truth surrounding all of the allegations against the VA, the House of Representatives recognizes that this is a critical issue that requires our immediate attention. That is why we have agreed upon a solution that will provide timelier health care to veterans, hold the VA accountable for their actions, and help the department recruit more doctors and health care professionals to provide our veterans with the care that they deserve. I proudly supported this bipartisan legislation to ensure that our veterans, who have selflessly fought to protect our nation, have the services that they need and the benefits that they deserve.
