Senator Moore believes that all residents of the Commonwealth should have health care that is accessible and affordable.
In 2009, Senator Moore was instrumental in the passage of legislation which strengthened protections for nurses and other health care providers against assault and battery during the performance of their jobs, to further ensure quality health care for patients.
After reports of constituents becoming ill with Lyme disease, Senator Moore filed and passed legislation which created a special commission to investigate and study the impacts of Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases. He also joined a bi-partisan effort in 2012 to pass legislation to contain the rising costs of health care in Massachusetts.
