Capito Campaign Kicks Off West Virginia Works Tour

Today, at a small business event in Wheeling,U.S. Senate candidate Shelley Moore Capito announced the start of her statewide West Virginia Works Tour. Shelley hosted community members and small business owners at the historic Wheeling Coffee and Spice Company for a discussion about jobs and getting West Virginia to work.

"West Virginians are strong, hard-working people, and our next Senator must be willing to fight equally as hard for the best interests of this state. I plan to meet with people from all corners of West Virginia to share my record, along with my vision for fighting the War on Coal, growing and protecting jobs, improving education, fixing our broken healthcare system and strengthening our communities," said Shelley Moore Capito.

The statewide West Virginia Works Tour will focus largely on West Virginia's energy fueled economy and will be segmented into four key areas: jobs, education, healthcare and communities. At each event, Shelley will listen to the concerns of West Virginians who are tired of Obama's devastating policies. She will share her proven record of working tirelessly for West Virginia and her readiness to hit the ground running in the Senate.

"Over the next several months, I will travel the state and listen to what West Virginians want from their next Senator," added Capito. "Our state is being trampled by Obama's devastating policies and we must fight to protect our values and our way of life. Together we will stop Obama's war on our state and create a stronger future for hard-working West Virginia families."

The West Virginia Works Tour continues tomorrow in Wheeling with a jobs discussion at Ziegenfelder Ice Cream Co. anda business tour at the Ohio Valley Medical Center.
