Statement from Governor Hassan on Signing SB 268

Statement

Governor Maggie Hassan issued the following statement after today signing SB 268, a measure relative to funding for certain energy efficiency programs:

"Investing in energy efficiency is more than smart environmental policy, it is critical to our economic future. Every dollar that businesses and families save on energy bills is a dollar they can use to grow our economy and strengthen our communities and families. Smart investments in energy efficiency will enable us to save money well into the future by reducing energy costs for our people and our businesses. I thank Senator Fuller Clark, Representatives Borden and Raymond, and all stakeholders for their efforts on this step forward to take even better advantage of cost-effective efficiency opportunities."
