Rep. Schneider Opposes Republican's Frivolous Lawsuit Against President Obama

U.S. Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) opposed the House Republican measure today that would allow Speaker Boehner to file a lawsuit against President Obama.

"The lawsuit against the President is not only frivolous, it's an irresponsible waste of taxpayer money and a distraction from the real challenges we face," Schneider said. "From reforming our immigration system to extending unemployment insurance, there are numerous important issues that deserve urgent Congressional action, but a lawsuit isn't one of them. It is unfortunate that Republicans would rather focus on scoring political points than work in earnest to move the country forward. Unfortunately, today's vote to advance a lawsuit against the President serves as yet another example of the nonsense in Washington that leaves so many people--myself included--fed up and frustrated."
