95 Days Until Election Day; Hagan Votes With Obama 95% Of The Time

Press Release

Date: Aug. 1, 2014

Today marks the 95th day until Election Day, serving as a reminder to North Carolinians that Kay Hagan has voted for President Obama's failed partisan agenda 95 percent of the time during her tenure in Washington.

Although Hagan has rubber-stamped Obama's policies and enthusiastically supported his re-election in 2012, she is now desperately attempting to distance herself from the unpopular President and gloss over her liberal voting record in a new television advertisement.

Ironically, Hagan criticized her opponent in 2008 for voting with the President 92 percent of the time, making the case that it "doesn't work here in North Carolina." Hagan's campaign even went to the length of sending out a daily press release for 92 consecutive days before the election to highlight the 92 percent figure.

"Whether it was casting the deciding vote for ObamaCare, bailing out Wall Street, adding $7 trillion to the national debt, or opposing a balanced budget amendment, Kay Hagan has proven that she will always put Obama and the liberal special interests first," said Tillis for U.S. Senate press secretary Meghan Burris. "Even Kay Hagan herself once acknowledged that voting with the President 95 percent of the time doesn't work here in North Carolina. Thom is the only candidate who will work across party lines to repeal and replace ObamaCare, stop runaway spending, and get our nation's economy back on track."
