U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor (D-Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL) released the following statement after the U.S. House passed a bill 225-201 to sue President Obama:
"Today House Republicans voted to take the country down another wasteful road with a lawsuit against President Obama. This lawsuit and talk of impeachment will add to the $24 billion wasted when Republicans shutdown the government and the $79 million wasted on the more than 50 times House Republicans voted to repeal health care access for Americans. I urge my Republican colleagues to instead focus on the challenges that face our middle-class neighbors, such as jobs, education and a better economy that works for everyone not just the wealthy."
