Today, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (D-CA), a member of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology, issued the following statement after the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) extended the net neutrality public comment period:
"Given the record public interest, I am pleased that the FCC decided to offer Americans additional time to share their voices on the net neutrality proposal. I urge all Americans who care about the future of the open Internet to share their views with the FCC. Our country cannot afford so-called Internet fast lanes or special paid prioritization agreements. We need strong net neutrality protections in place that truly preserve a free and open Internet."
