Daines Statement on Passage of Highway Transportation and Funding Bill

Representative Steve Daines today issued the following statement on the passage of H.R. 5201, the Highway and Transportation Funding Act of 2014:

"I'm pleased that the House has passed a bipartisan solution to keep the Highway Trust Fund solvent and protect Montana jobs through the construction season. As a member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, I will continue to work toward a long-term solution for the Trust Fund that does not raise the gas tax and ensures that Montana's roads are safe and secure for years to come."

H.R. 5201 is a package of three bipartisan, bicameral policies that will keep the Highway Trust Fund solvent and fund transportation projects through May 31, 2015.
