Improving Education:
·Focus on introducing legislation that will enable school districts to further reduce the Achievement Gap and Opportunity Gap in underperforming school districts.
·Improve and expand Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education to ensure that our students are prepared for the jobs of tomorrow and can compete in a global economy.
·Ensure that our Chapter 70 program, the major program of state aid to public elementary and secondary schools, receives the funding that will safeguard that all students are prepared for success in the classroom and beyond.
·Bring down the cost of higher education so that every student has the opportunity to achieve the American Dream.
