Today Maryland Congressman Chris Van Hollen, Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, released the following statement after the Senate confirmed Shaun Donovan, President Obama's nominee to be the next director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB):
"I applaud the Senate for confirming Shaun Donovan as the next OMB Director. We must work to immediately put Americans back to work, boost economic growth, and reduce our long-term deficit. Mr. Donovan's proven track record and commitment to creating jobs will be central to that effort, and I look forward to working with him."
