Some of the kids fleeing from Central America to the U.S. are being housed in Illinois. U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) visited one of their shelters in Chicago, and says if those calling for mass deportations visited a shelter, they might change their minds.

"You would want to adopt these children if you spent five minutes in a room with them. They are lovely, beautiful little kids, and I think our nation is going to do everything it can to make sure they have a better life."
