Congressman John B. Larson released the following statement today on the passage of the Highway and Transportation Funding Act (H.R. 5021) in the U.S. House of Representatives:
"Today, the House passed short-term transportation infrastructure funding. Now the real work begins. Speaker Boehner should cancel the August recess and allow Members to stay in session until we complete a long-term transportation bill. We owe our workers, trades, businesses and the American people the certainty of a long-term solution and I am prepared to join my colleagues through August until we get the job done."
