Issue Position

The government does not spend its own money. It spends your money. But too many politicians feel they are free to spend money on any "good" cause that comes along. They are wrong. Government's role is to provide basic services. This is the only type of expenditure that the state should have for your money. All other expenditures should end now.

I am not saying that some of these other causes might not be good, but we should let the people not politicians and bureaucrats decide how your money gets spent. This is true charity and true limited government.
