Fully Fund our Schools
The Supreme Court has made it clear: we are not meeting our constitutional obligation to our schools. On top of that voters have made it clear that they want the legislature to fulfill its duty through the voter approved initiatives to reduce class size and provide more comptetive teacher pay.
I will make school funding a priority in the legislature without sacrificing important programs that families depend on. Hungry or homeless children aren't arriving to the classroom ready to learn. We need to take a tough look at outdated tax loopholes for special interests and continue to find ways to make government more efficient and accountable to the people. We have a big job to do but you can be sure that I will always put our kids first and make sure that we step up to our obligations.
