Today, Congressman Bill Cassidy (R-LA) commented on President Obama's decision to bypass Congress to implement immigration reform:
"The President's own executive action is what created this humanitarian crisis in the first place. President Obama would rather find fault to distract from his incompetence than work with Congress to send a clear signal that illegal immigration will not be tolerated. House Republicans have been pushing for years to secure our borders. In not working with Congress, the President has chosen to disregard the Constitution. Enforcing our immigration laws and securing our borders should always be the first priority, period."
