Today, Congressman Bill Cassidy (R-LA) commented on the U.S. Civilian Board of Contract Appeals' decision to support FEMA's decision to deny Livingston Parish's $59 million in claims from Hurricane Gustav.
Dr. Cassidy released the following statement:
"Although we have not seen the final judgment, the reports that the appeals panel ruled in favor of FEMA are disappointing. My office discovered that FEMA used the wrong GPS coordinates when reviewing Livingston Parish's case. I am interested in seeing how Livingston Parish was judged to be wrong when FEMA did not get the coordinates right."
