Maui only has one hospital. As such, there is no local competition or alternative for medical treatment on island. I support upgraded and further improved standards for healthcare at MMMC. I also fully support the construction of an additional hospital on island to better serve our growing population. At the clinic level, I support requiring a smaller patient to support staff ratios in all local clinics.
