Unions have been a valuable tool for promoting worker safety, better pay, and equality in the workplace since their inception here in Hawaii during the mid-1800s. The role of labor unions in Hawaii is still just as important now as it was then. As a business owner, I understand the need to arrive at equitable labor negotiations that benefit both business and employee. When our employees are properly provided for and feel valued and happy, business thrives.
