Titus Committed to Expanding Benefits to Filipino Veterans

Statement

Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada's First District released the following statement today on her efforts to expand benefits to Filipino veterans:

"As the top Democrat on the House Veterans Affairs Committee that oversees the VA's benefit programs, I am committed to ensuring that all veterans, including Filipino veterans, receive the benefits they have earned. I have been working on this issue for years; and supported the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in 2009 that significantly expanded benefits for Filipino veterans. In this Congress, I have cosponsored legislation (H.R. 110, H.R. 111, and H.R. 1855) to ensure that Filipino veterans receive the benefits they deserve."
