Location: Rockville, MD

Tonight, at a Democratic unity event hosted by the Women's Democratic Club of Montgomery County, Lt. Governor Anthony Brown thanked Delegate Mizeur and Attorney General Gansler for their service to the Democratic Party.

"I want to thank Attorney General Doug Gansler and Delegate Heather Mizeur for their important contributions during the Democratic Primary and for their years of dedicated public service," said Lt. Governor Anthony Brown. "Delegate Mizeur has galvanized a true progressive movement by leading efforts to raise our minimum wage, improve the health of women and children across our state, and decriminalize marijuana to reduce racial disparities in our justice system. Attorney General Gansler has been a committed advocate in the effort to drive down domestic violence rates, pass marriage equality and protect our environment. The Democratic Party is stronger because of Doug Gansler and Heather Mizeur and I am committed to uniting with them to build a better Maryland for more Marylanders. I look forward to working with both of them to ensure that Maryland stays blue in November."
