Griffin Works to Lower Gas Prices and Responsibly Explore for Energy Resources

Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) issued the following statement today after the House passed the Lowering Gasoline Prices to Fuel an America that Works Act (H.R. 4899):

"While Arkansans use more of their hard-earned money to fuel their vehicles, this Administration continues to block the expansion of America's energy resources. This leads to higher gas prices, lost jobs for U.S. workers, a weaker economy and a continued dependence on oil from foreign countries that are not our friends. Today's bill will help reverse these policies by responsibly exploring for our onshore and offshore domestic resources to address rising energy costs, lower gas prices for Americans and increase job growth."

Rep. Griffin is a cosponsor of H.R. 4899, which includes a package of bills to expand onshore energy production, streamline permitting processes and reduce red tape.
