Issue Position

My personal experiences have deeply impacted my appreciation for the value of life and for the blessing it is to have a child. For those who may not be ready for parenthood, I believe that alternatives that show respect for life should be offered and available.

As a father of two twin girls who were born 14½ weeks early, I have a deep appreciation for life. I had the opportunity to see first-hand what babies look like in their 25th week and how they can survive and grow to be healthy, happy, intelligent children. My personal experiences have deeply impacted my appreciation for the value of life and for the blessing it is to have a child. For those who may not be ready for parenthood, I believe that alternatives that show respect for life should be offered and available. I am deeply compassionate for both the life of the parent and for that young life as well. In Washington, I will fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. Preborn children are no exception.
