The nation's producers need leadership from Washington that gives them stability and freedom from bureaucratic regulation.

Kevin Cramer led legislation that guarantees farmers a 1-for-1 acreage basis when enhancing, restoring or creating wetlands as part of the current USDA no net loss wetlands policy. Under the amendment, the federal government will no longer be able to arbitrarily subject our farmers to excessive requirements for managing the wetlands on their land.

North Dakota's farmers have recognized Kevin Cramer's efforts to keep Washington off the farm. In fact, the North Dakota Farm Bureau endorsed Kevin Cramer and his efforts on the Farm Bill, saying:

"We thank Congressman Cramer for his diligence on this issue and support the work he has done to get a bill which not only addresses our concerns about conservation compliance and crop insurance, but wetland mitigation and misunderstanding about where most of the monies in the farm bill are spent."
