Carol, Eleanor, Mary Clay and I had an excellent time last Saturday at the Beer Cheese Festival in Winchester, KY. This annual festival continues to grow every year and I heard several Clark Countians estimate that this year's festival was the largest yet! Carol and I always look forward to visiting Winchester and seeing so many of our good friends. I especially want to thank Rep. Donna Mayfield for her friendship and for joining me at the festival. Clark County is fortunate to have Donna representing them in Frankfort. My dear friends Claude Shaw and Hunter Hess were so kind to spend the entire day with me at the festival. These two men are American heroes who have served our nation with honor and I am proud to call them friend.
