Protecting Lake Michigan and Illinois' Waterways

As a lifelong Illinois resident, Dick Durbin knows the Great Lakes and our waterways are vitally important to our way of life. He has helped restore Lake Michigan's shoreline and protected the Lake and our waterways from toxic dumping and invasive species like the Asian Carp. He is the author of the Great Lakes Water Protection Act and has worked with other Midwestern representatives from both parties to protect the flow of commerce along the Mississippi River.
