Continued Job Growth Turn Democrats into April Fools

WASHINGTON-Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-Fla.) today praised President Bush's economic policies for helping add 110,000 jobs - the 22nd consecutive month of job growth.

"More Americans are working than ever before," Diaz-Balart said. "President Bush wisely stuck by his strong economic principles and we are continuing to see the positive results.

"If we had followed Democrats' recommendations of higher taxes, our country would have suffocated under a 'state of malaise' with hard-working Americans paying higher taxes and millions more still jobless. With 22 straight months of job growth, the Democrats are looking more and more like April Fools."

Payroll employment rose by 110,000 in February, and the economy has created over 3 million jobs since May 2003.

"While these jobs numbers are encouraging, there is still more we can do so that every American who wants a job can find one," Diaz-Balart continued. "I will continue to work with President Bush in pushing economic policies that help create jobs and keep taxes low on hard-working families."
