President Obama Signs WRRDA into Law

Statement

Date: June 10, 2014
Location: Washington, DC

Today Congressman Kevin Cramer issued the following statement after President Barack Obama signed the Water Resources Reform Development Act (WRRDA) into law:

"I welcome the President's signature on legislation which contains important provisions for North Dakota flood protection and water rights. WRRDA rightly blocks an unprecedented fee for usage of reservoir water from the Missouri River, authorizes the FM Diversion, and makes our federal government more responsive to infrastructure needs. It is my hope we can return to a regular cycle of passing a new WRRDA every two years instead of waiting another seven."
