Issue Position

Nowadays, we hear through the local media on a daily basis about innocent citizens being terrorized by the dregs of society. Those who would seek a fast buck at the expense of someone else's life, liberty, or pursuit of happiness. John is PRO Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. John does NOT believe that disarming innocent people and depriving them of their constitutional rights to keep and bear arms is a deterrent to crime. He believes, like so many other Marylanders that a disarmed populace is attractive to criminals and yes, even to governments that will attempt to strip away MORE of our freedoms. John will FIGHT for our rights and FIGHT to keep any more of our rights from going by the wayside as has been the legacy of the liberal leftists in this state. John will seek to have state and local governments ENFORCE the laws already on the books in dealing with repeat and violent offenders. Truth-in-sentencing laws MUST be upheld! John believes prosecutors, at every level and the courts should do MORE at keeping the most dangerous offenders behind bars. John will work to see that our justice system DISPENSES JUSTICE. John also believes in supporting those who serve as our public servants, police officers, fire fighters, paramedics, correctional officers, and our military. John will seek to find ways to do away with wasteful government spending at the state level and to implement ways the state can save money without cutting services.
