Issue Position

The public expects honesty and integrity from their elected officials.

For too long the big money interests of local politics have ruled our county. For too long our elected officials have put personal interests before the community.

We need to replace the pay-to-play Baltimore politics with a system that people are engaged in and believe in. As your Delegate, I pledge to fight the interests that are ruining our system and put the government back in the hands of the people.

No Money from Developers
The influence of development has corrupted Baltimore politics for too long. I pledge not to accept campaign contributions from developers.

Make the Development Process Transparent
Our development decisions should not be made by an unelected, anonymous group of individuals whose interests are a mystery to the public. I pledge to sponsor legislation to end the back room development deals and make the entire process open to the public.

Enforce Our Ethics Laws
When our elected officials continually break ethics laws, the public loses faith in our system. I pledge to fight to enforce ethics laws and hold elected officials accountable for their actions.

Protect Pensions
Political games are continually played with the pensions of those that serve our communities. Our teachers, police and firemen should not have to worry that their retirement will be borrowed from or that pension obligations will be dumped. I pledge to support policies that will put an end to this abuse of the public trust.
