The revelations of secret surveillance programs monitoring the communications data of millions of Americans, whether they were suspected of any wrongdoing or not, was deeply troubling and represented a constitutional violation of the 4th amendment. We must rein in the NSA. I'm proud to cosponsor bipartisan legislation to end the bulk collection of American's communications data and reform our government's surveillance programs.
