Rokita: Shinseki Resignation "First Step...Culture Must Change"

Rep. Todd Rokita issued the following statement in response to the resignation of Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki:

"The problems in the Department of Veterans Affairs extend far beyond just one person. The Secretary's resignation is an important first step, but it must be the beginning of much larger changes. To best serve our veterans, the bureaucratic culture must change, and fast," Rokita said.

Last week, Rokita joined colleagues in sending a letter to the President demanding Shinseki's resignation.
