Issue Position

The Insurance Commissioner should have the background and experience that we need to regulate the insurance industry, educate Kansans on insurance issues, open the market to more competition and product options, and to be an active, confident member of NAIC, which affects federal policy. I believe that my qualifications are perfectly suited for this office. It is for that reason, that I made the final decision to run.
I became a licensed agent in Kansas in 2002 and have written group and individual health, life, disability, accident, cancer, long term care, and annuities products. Since I have also been licensed to write insurance in nearly half of the states, I am aware of how others run their departments and know how we can improve ours in Kansas.
