The current Secretary of State has mismanaged the budget for the office, an office that is supposed to be self-sufficient and is paid for primarily by business filing fees, notary fees, and non-profit filing fees. As a business attorney, I recognize the burden that unnecessary costs and bureaucratic red tape can put on businesses in Colorado. If elected, I will set filing fees at an amount that will attract businesses and non-profit organizations to our great state while also providing a reasonable and balanced budget for the Secretary of State's office.
