Horsford Statement on EPA Carbon Pollution Standards

Today, Representative Steven Horsford (NV-4) released the following statement in response to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announcing the "Clean Power Plan" to reduce carbon emissions from existing power plants:

"The EPA's decision today will put our country on a sustainable path that provides states with the flexibility they need to meet these necessary carbon emission goals. Nevada has already led the way by attracting over $5.5 billion in green energy investments, which has made our state cleaner, healthier, and more efficient, all while creating thousands of good-paying jobs and economic growth. Climate change is a serious threat to our national security, and it is imperative that we act now to curb carbon emissions in order to guarantee a bright future for our country."
