Lujan Grisham sends letter to President, calls for 2015 Aging Conference

Today, Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM-01), former Secretary of the New Mexico Department of Aging and Long-Term Services, along with 29 Members of Congress sent a letter to President Obama asking him to host a 2015 White House Conference on Aging.

"I am thrilled to have my colleagues' support to send this letter to the President," said Rep. Lujan Grisham. "The White House Conference on Aging is the first step in addressing the challenges of caring for an aging population and dealing with the increasing costs of long-term care. We must ensure that our health care system is viable and seniors have the care they need."

The last conference was held in 2005 and hosted by President George W. Bush.
