Today, Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth (IL-08) announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency has awarded the Hanover Park Fire Department a $72,750 grant for a new sprinkler system for the fire house. The funding will allow the fire department to improve their safety and continue to serve the residents of Hanover Park.
"I am proud and appreciative of the work that Hanover Park Fire Department does to keep our neighbors safe," said Duckworth. "The brave work that our fire fighters and first responders continue to do on behalf of our communities is outstanding. Thousands of my constituents rely on the fire department and this grant will allow it to continue to serve to our community. The taxpayers of Illinois contribute more than their fair share to the Federal government and I am pleased to see that crucial resources are coming back to the 8th District."
